Rock climbing in Delhi boomed between the ‘80s and early ‘90s. The decade saw a lot of new areas being developed with active climbers meeting up periodically. A need was felt and the idea of compiling a guide to the rocks in and around Delhi was mooted. Rohan Kanhai, Robert Chambers, Tejvir and Jasvir Khurana, and a few other active climbers got together to start document the climbs, especially at Dhauj.
This guidebook is long overdue and the idea to come out with it now to firstly document the climbs and also to inspire new climbers and veterans to get back to the pleasure of climbing rock again.
Description:-
“It’s nice to have the climbing areas quiet, but not deserted! Also next time MO writes a guidebook, someone else can do the hard work (writing the foreword.)” – Rohan Kanhai Datta
